Bobbie was a beautiful woman, so soft and sweet spirited.
She was the youngest of three daughters that her parents, Hugh Bob and Nora Alice Gray were blessed to have.
Bobbie loved her family with all her heart. She adored her sisters, Leona Simpson and Lois Asher. Her parents and sisters preceded her in death and she is now reunited with them in the Lord.
Bobbie loved her Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, mind and soul. Listening to gospel music was the favorite part of her day. One of her special songs she loved to hear was sung by Jeff and Sheri Easter, called Thread of Hope.
Bobbie was a devoted worker in her church, with the women’s missionary group. They made fudge, deserts, crafts and crocheted items to raise money for missions. She enjoyed this work and fellowship with her many sisters in the Lord.
Bobbie was a loving and caring wife and mother. Her husband, Eddie “Ray” and her children, Patricia Bolton, Gregory and Douglas McFarland will all miss her very deeply.
Bobbie was a family oriented person, she enjoyed being with her ‘family’ all the time. All those who knew her would say “She had the softest heart, sweetest spirit and gentlest voice.”
Bobbie served alongside her husband, Ray, in his evangelical ministry, as a minister/pastor’s wife. She was his Queen, life long helpmate, an awesome blessing to him for their 61 wonderful years together. She studied the Word of God, took the intern ministry classes by her husband’s side and supported him in his Evangelist and Pastoral ministries as he became a Bishop in the Church of God.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Eddie Ray, her children, Patricia (Neal) Bolton, Gregory (Kathy) McFarland, and Douglas (Jamie) McFarland, her three grandchildren, Shannon Peterson, Elizabeth Curtis and Jordan (Crystal) McFarland, her six great-grandchildren, Keith, Meara, Flint and Ross Peterson, Garrett and Arianna Curtis, three nieces, Sherry (Wayne) Knott, Charlotte (Ocie) Miller, Cheryl (Wayne) Roberts, and one nephew, John Simpson Jr., and their families as well as so many more relatives.Bobbie was preceded in death by her granddaughter Phyllis Gale Bolton. Bobbie will be missed by all these and many more friends and relatives. She is in our hearts and our memories and is now “Present with the Lord”
Praise His Holy Name, Jesus!
