Catherine Marie Muller

Catherine Marie Muller (77) passed away December 4, 2020 peacefully asleep in her Sequim home of more than 30 years.

She was born on January 5, 1943 to the late Edward and Ann Muller in Philadelphia PA, and is survived by her brother James Muller of Bellevue, and her two children John Hagedorn of Needles CA and Karin (Rob) Mattson of Tacoma WA. She has two grandchildren Nicole and Connor Mattson, and their significant others Ryan Carlson and Touyen Lam.

She didn’t live in Philadelphia long, as her father’s work had them moving to Louisiana, Texas, and finally Bellevue, WA where she graduated High School. She attended the University of Washington for several years where she met her husband Ronald Hagedorn.

Her marriage to Ron, who served in the US Army, took the young couple to Germany to live where her love of international travel began. After two children and retirement from the military, the family settled in Issaquah WA until a divorce in 1973.

Catherine and her two children made their way to Mission Viejo, CA where she held various office jobs. As an empty nester in 1984, she was able to reconnect with her love of travel which took her places all over the world until she didn’t have the energy anymore in her later years.

She moved to Sequim in 1989 where she was a Master Gardener and worked in landscaping until retirement. Cathe loved being surrounded by the beautiful nature on the Olympic peninsula and would take lots of long walks and hikes in the area. 

Her family would like to thank her many wonderful friends for all their love and support over the years. In lieu of flowers, please plant one of your favorite plants in your own garden in her memory.
