John Clinton Estes
John Clinton Estes, 88, of Sequim, Washington, passed away peacefully on
October 15, 2025.
John was born on November 18, 1936, in Bend, Oregon, to Benjamin Henry Estes
and Antionette Margaret (Bilodeau) Estes. He grew up with his brother, Ben Estes,
and graduated from Highline High School in Burien, Washington, in 1954. Shortly
after graduation, John proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving his
country with honor and commitment.
On November 13, 1959, John married the love of his life, Ardith Louise Brown, in
Burien, Washington. Together, they built a beautiful life, sharing nearly 66 years of
marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.
John worked hard and built a successful career in the drywall industry, earning the
respect of coworkers and friends for his honesty, skill, and dependability.
A man who loved the outdoors, John found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending
time in nature. He deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren. He also enjoyed the companionship of his golden retrievers,
Samantha and Cooper, who were always by his side.
John was known for his generosity and his willingness to help anyone in need. His
steady faith in Christ guided his life, and he found comfort and wisdom in reading
his Bible each day. Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength, kind
heart, and deep devotion to his family.
John spent his life in Washington State, living in Shoreline, Edmonds, on Whidbey
Island, where he raised his family, and his retirement years in Sequim.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Ardith; daughters Laurie Estes (Cathy),
Susan Coffee (Burl), and Sandi Hill (Steve); eight grandchildren; and 11 great-
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ben Estes,
and his daughter Carol Thacker.
There will be no formal funeral service, but a graveside gathering will be held at a
later date at the Cashmere Cemetery in Cashmere, Washington.
Any correspondence may be sent to Susan (Estes) Coffee at 61 Geolaine Way,
Sequim, WA 98382.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Sherwood

John’s life was a testimony of quiet faith and steadfast love. While his family
mourns his passing, they rejoice knowing he is now in the presence of his Savior.
