June Westhaver

June Westhaver passed away on April 27, 2020 of Dementia related illness.  She was born Sept. 27, 1928 in Cumberland, B. C. Canada to William and Jenny Vahle. She became a Registered Nurse, training in Canada. She met her future husband on a blind date.  She worked in Canada before immigrating to the US.  She became a US citizen. She retired from nursing from Harrison Hospital in Bremerton after working in the Ob GYN Dept. She participated in a nursing strike for better pay for nurses.  She also became a real estate agent.  She enjoyed travel, reading, sports, sewing, family and the “the Beach”.  She was preceded in death by her husband Milford.  She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dave and Natasha Westhaver, Carol Coleman, Donna and Bob Lutes, Mary and Bill Marchand, 7 grandkids and 14 great grandkids. 

A memorial will be held at a later date.  Donations in her name can be made to your favorite charity.
