Lisa Mariah Ritchie

Lisa Mariah Ritchie died in Port Angeles on August 24th, 2024 due an undiagnosed medical condition that suddenly ended her life.  She was born on June 24th, 1987 and lived in Port Angeles her whole life.

Everyone who knew Lisa cherished her and will miss her sweet spirit, her kind heart, her bright intellect and her playful sense of humor.  Lisa loved animals and found great joy and comfort caring for all the dogs, cats, birds and ferrets that she had in her life, especially her beloved dog Ruby.

An early example of Lisa’s devotion to her pets was when, as a very young child, she ran into the woods behind the house to rescue her cat that was being attacked by a stray dog.  

Her loving nature was exemplified by the excellent in-home care Lisa provided to Maxine, an elderly woman in the final months of her life.

Lisa is survived by her loving parents Bob and Susan, her dear brother Morgan, sister-in-law Emily, nieces Mae and Camille, her Aunt Pat and Uncle Rusty, many other aunts, uncles & cousins, and her grandmother Ann.

There will be no public memorial service.  

Rather than flowers or gifts, Lisa would have preferred a modest donation in her name to the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, where she found Ruby.
