Loren MIchael Leftwich

Loren Michael Leftwich
October 25, 1966 – September 23, 2024

Loren was born in Dallas, Texas to Michael Leftwich and Karen Newman Leftwich. He spent much of his
childhood in Carrollton, Texas before attending and graduating from Highland Park High School. Loren
married Tammie Foster and they welcomed their daughter Nicole in 1990. Loren worked in the
telecommunications business before setting out to live in Maui from 2014 to 2021. When he returned to the
mainland, he took up residence in Colorado. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in February 2024 and moved
to his father and step-mother’s home in June 2024. When he lost his battle with cancer, he was surrounded with
peace and love. Loren is survived by his 100-year-old grandmother, Lou Leftwich, mother, Karen Newman, his
father and step-mother, Michael and Ellen Leftwich, his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and David Dorsey and
granddaughters Riley Lou and Taylan Dorsey.
