Mary Ann Resnick

Mary Ann passed in June 2023 in Sequim, Washington, with her family close by.

Mary Ann was born in January 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Hans and Dorothy Huneke.

She was raised in Norristown, PA and graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.  She attended Antioch College in Ohio and then Temple University in Philadelphia. She later obtained a master’s degree from Beaver College (Arcadia). She became an Occupational Therapist and had a long career in the field that included over 20 years with the Philadelphia School District, where she worked with severely disabled children.

Mary Ann lived in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia for much of her life, where she worked and raised her family. After retiring, she moved to Seattle to be closer to her children. She was married to Mark Resnick for almost 60 years.

She is survived by two loving children and their spouses, Steven (Jennifer) and Betsy (Jon) and granddaughter Sam.

Mary Ann was a lifelong provider and caregiver. She was a warm, loving, generous soul who made friends wherever she went. She is remembered lovingly by many whose lives she touched. She enjoyed quilting, baking, crosswords and her dog Ebbie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mark, and her sister Susan.
