Patricia passed peacefully in her home in Port Angeles on October 30, 2020 at the age of 88 due to natural causes.
She was born in Yakima, Washington. She later moved with her family to Fairbanks, Alaska.
Patricia was very proud of her Alaskan family and heritage. She spoke often of growing up in Fairbanks and her love of ice skating.
At the age of 16 she met and married John Bolewicki who was serving in the U.S. Army in Fairbanks.
They moved to New York and eventually returned to the West Coast settling in Port Angeles. Together they raised 6 children, Carol Lawson, Sue Paden (Pat), Joanne Albertson (Jim), John Bolewicki (Sonja), Julie Olbers (Jerry), and David Bolewicki.
Patricia and John bought the Hut café (established 1950) from her parents in the early 70’s. She and John divorced in 1976. In 1977 she was married to Joe Zimmer. After Joe passed in 1979 , Patricia sold the Hut Café.
In the 80’s she opened a seafood business. After that business closed, she continued to work into her 70’s for her daughter Joanne at the Cornerhouse restaurant.
In 1989 she married Charles Diven who passed in 2018 .
She loved many things; among them were fishing, boating, and beachcombing.
Patricia was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews on both the East and West coast.
Special thanks to George Gale, for always being there. He has been a beloved family friend to us and our parents since the first day he came to Port Angeles.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents Vern and Gladys Tyler, her sister Beverly (Glenn Brown) , Sharon (Manuel Gavino), her son John Bolewicki and his wife Sonja, and grandson Scott. Hardy .
