Richard D Norsby was born in Minot, North Dakota to Clarence and Sophie (Sorensen) Norsby on September 16, 1930, and died on September 11, 2020 of kidney failure, at his home.
He graduated high school in Glenburn, ND and attended Minot State University. Richard served in the US Army during the Korean War conflict.
He was married to Carol Miller on Feb 1, 1958, they celebrated their 62nd anniversary.
Richard began his career with the Postal Service in 1961, becoming Postmaster at Glenburn, ND in 1973. After his retirement, they moved to Sequim, WA. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Sequim, WA.
He is survived by their two sons, Byron (Denise) of Minot/Glenburn ND, Norlynn (Charlene) of Marysville, WA. One Grandchild, Dawn Marie (Bobbie Joe) Theis of Carrington, ND. One brother, Raymond (Janet) Norsby of Rugby, ND. Sister in law, Marilyn Norsby, Kent, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gordon and Kenneth.
A Memorial service will be Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00 am. At Faith Lutheran Church, Sequim, WA. It will be live-streamed at www.faithlutheransequim.org
