Celebrating the life of Bob Spencer

Bob was born, raised and resided in Port Angeles.
A gifted athlete, winning many awards in swimming and cross country running. He was placed in Port Angeles High School Hall of Fame of 1970 for swim and cross country. At the age of 14 during a Salmon Derby event he waterskied on a single ski to Victoria B.C. As a Senior in high school he was a pep promoter. He performed hand springs and flips while cheering on audiences at Civic Field football games. Bob attended Highline Community College on a swimming scholarship. Returning to Port Angeles working at his fathers Auto Body Shop, which he later owned and operated, he then worked for Platypus Marine for about 10 years prior to his retirement. A favorite activity for Bob was fishing at Lake Crescent and hunting out on the west end.
Bob is survived by his 3 children, daughter Jennifer, sons Daniel and Brian. His 5 grandchildren and his siblings. Brother Tom Spencer and sister Lynn Dee (Bob) Watkins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lolli, father, Ben and brother, John. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
