Roy John Sargent, Jr. of Sequim, WA, passed away on May 17, 2024, he was 73. Roy was born on Bainbridge Island, WA to Roy John Sargent, SR., and Vera Velda Jones. Roy worked as a Forest Service Land Surveyor after college. Roy changed career paths and began falling timber for several Peninsula logging companies. Later he worked in construction for John Dickenson, the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe, and Dick Snyder Trucking until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his mini farm that included cows and a large vegetable garden. Roy married the love of his life, Ann Levick in 1973. Roy is survived by his spouse, Ann Sargent, son Pete Sargent, sisters Betty Rhodefer and Martha Berg. He was especially close to his nephew-in-law Randy Kilmer and wife Cheryl, along with their two children Barrett and Cora. Who he loved calling his “fake grandchildren”. Roy was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Vera Sargent and his sister Marelene Peddler. No services are to be held at this time. The family asks in lieu of flowers please make donations to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County in Roy’s name.
