Sherry Lee Ullom (née Seaton), aged 65, of Port Angeles, passed away at home on December 3, 2025.
Sherry was born on February 17, 1960, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Robert and Barbara Seaton. Her family moved throughout Wyoming and Colorado due to Robert’s work as a County Agricultural Agent before finally settling in Cortez, Colorado, in 1973. Sherry married and had her first daughter, Julie, in Dove Creek, Colorado. A few years later, the family moved to Chugiak, Alaska, where she welcomed her son, Sean. Later, Sherry remarried and moved to Sequim, Washington, where her youngest daughter, Danielle, was born. Sherry resided on the Washington Peninsula for the remainder of her life, sharing the last twenty years with her husband, Rocky. Together, they lived in Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Orchard, and Port Hadlock.
Sherry had an uncanny skill with electronics and computers and worked for many years as a talented Scopist. She was also gifted at cross-stitch, spending hours at a time creating large, elaborate pieces akin to paintings. Sherry loved animals and her gardens, having owned many beloved pets throughout her life—from a Shetland pony in her childhood to many cherished dogs and cats. She is remembered for always keeping her hummingbird feeders full and for naming the wild animals that frequented her yard, including a fondly remembered wild rabbit named “Romeo,” who often visited her in Chugiak.
Sherry was known as a strong, independent thinker who was unwavering in her beliefs and emphasized the importance of critical thinking to her children. She deeply loved her family and often remarked how grateful she was to have had her children. One of her happiest recent memories, which she shared with her mother, was attending her son Sean’s wedding in 2016. Seeing all her children and parents reunited in one place was a cherished moment for her.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and her sister-in-law, Teresa. She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Rocky; her three children, Julie, Sean, and Danielle, and their spouses, John, Zoë, and Michael; her stepson, Alexander; her brothers, Alan and Bret, and her sister, Carrie; her nieces, Lizzie and Alysia, and great-niece, Sophia; her nephews, Bob and A.J.; and her mother, Barbara.
