Born in the east, Bill was a transplant who took hold easily to the gentle lifestyle of Kitsap County. In between, he enjoyed a very challenging and successful naval career, rising from an E1 to O-5, and serving in many locations around the world. Following his military success, he continued to employ his engineering and managerial skills at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Trident REfit Facility. A good friend once described Bill as a “Renaissance Man” for his uncanny ability to visualize a hurdle of a problem and work his way to its solution. As such, he provided advice and assistance to many friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, three adult children, five granddaughters and one great grandchild. No services will be held at this time. His favorite charity was St. Jude Hospital, and he would be appreciative of donations on his behalf.
